The Overlook Terrace is Dedicated the first week of November.

The Overlook Terrace has been dedicated in honor of Maxine Folger Nash, the wife of former Hatcher Garden Chair, Douglas B. Nash. The Overlook Terrace recently replaced the aging Observation Deck, that had been build by the Spartanburg Men’s Garden Club back in the 1990’s. The Overlook Terrace overlooks the Lower Pond which if you are lucky, you might spy a visiting great blue heron standing there in the early morning.
