Fall For Hatcher: A Tasting Trail 2026
A special night in the garden! The Autumnal Equinox. The Equinox Flower (Red Spider Lily - Lycoris radiata) was blooming deep inside the garden. The magic of the evening brought together restaurants and breweries. Patrons eager to sample their wares. The smooth sounds of musician JT Jeter. Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Stan Parker, welcomed all to Fall For Hatcher: A Tasting Trail, which was again celebrated in the Children’s Garden. Stan announced several initiatives the garden is working on for outdoor adult programs including Kevin Parris, Horticulture Instructor and Arboretum Director of Spartanburg Community College. Stan also introduced our new Executive Director, Heather Raines. The evening ended with the announcement of the winners of Bon Appétit Award Winner 2026 - Islas on the Square and Great Growler Award Winner 2026 - Ciclops Cyderi and Brewery. Winners were determined by guests casting their cash “votes” for their favorite food and brewery. Fortunately the weather held off until the festivities were over! Thank you to all who participated!
