Hatcher Garden & Woodland Preserve is excited to host our first High School Arts in the Garden, on Saturday, May 23rd. The event begins with a chance to talk with student artists and musicians at 10:00 am followed by a music recital to be performed by the lovely musicians beginning at 2:00 pm. This special event is designed to give young artists the opportunity to showcase—and even sell—their work in a beautiful outdoor setting surrounded by nature. High school teachers, who help nurture their students throughout the school year, have been invited as well to show their work and talents.
We at Hatcher Garden want to celebrate creativity, encourage entrepreneurial experience, and connect our community with the incredible talent in our local high schools. We feel that Hatcher Garden is a natural setting to celebrate the physical and musical arts. Other events that celebrate the arts is our Arts in the Garden which is Saturday, October 3 and Music in the Children’s Garden Series which begins Friday, October 9th.
