Project Learning Tree
The Watershed Ecology Center at the University of South Carolina-Upstate will bring 1,000 children to Hatcher Garden to participate in one hour programs. Project Learning Tree (PLT) uses the forest as a "window" on the world to increase students' understanding of our environment; stimulate students' critical and creative thinking; develop students' ability to make informed decisions on environmental issues; and instill in students the commitment to take responsible action on behalf of the environment. To learn more about Project Learning Tree: www.plt.org This program underwritten by the Spartanburg Men’s Garden Club.
If you are a teacher, scout leader or youth organizer and would like for your group to participate in PLT, contact the Watershed Ecology Center at 864-503-5728.
